Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we get our articles from?
We source our articles from trusted publications via NewsAPI.AI, ensuring content from reputable sources like The New York Times, Forbes, Vogue, and more. New articles are updated every few minutes, so there’s always fresh, positive content for you to explore.
Is there a dark or light mode available?
Yes! Elevate News supports both dark and light modes. You can easily switch between them while reading an article and clicking the yellow moon icon in the top right. You can also go to the settings tab and toggle the option at the top of the page.
How does the “Summarize with AI” button work?
The ‘Summarize with AI’ button uses advanced AI technology (powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT) to provide a concise summary of any article. Simply tap the button to get a quick overview, allowing for the consumption of more positivity in a significantly less amount of time.

What is the Positivity Ranking Score?
This feature is powered by AI, each article receives a Positivity Ranking from 1 to 5, with 1 being the least positive and 5 being the most positive.
(Currently still in Beta)
Why are the AI features in “Beta”?
AI is still a new technology rapidly developing weekly. We are keeping a close eye on how AI acts on our platform and our community’s feedback. We will then fine tune each instance of AI use to better align with our values and provide our community with the best experience possible.
Why do I get different Positivity ranking scores?
Really good question! Every time you open an article it is sent to ChatGPT and graded on the 1-5 scale within milliseconds. Often, ChatGPT can change its mind while grading. You might see a score of 4.6/5 one time and then a score of 4.8/5 the next time within the same article. We aim to not have the score go up or below more than a 0.3 difference.
Why did I just see a Positivity score of lower than 3/5?
We use two methods of verifying the positivity of articles. The first is the sentiment analysis from NewsAPI.AI and they rank articles using their Natural Language processor. Then, to be transparent with our community, we also have ChatGPT take a look and rank it to give the article a second look and our community a heads up.
Why do I occasionally see duplicate articles?
Most of the time, the articles you see are not duplicates; they might have the same image and possibly the same title, but the actual body of the article is different, and they’re from different publications. If you see an article that you believe is a duplicate, please report it! (See below)
Can I report an article?
Absolutely! We highly encourage you to report articles you believe should not be shown by pressing the tiny yellow Octagon in the bottom right of the article's image. You can select several different reasons as to why you reported the article and we provide an option for you to type your own reason in case the ones we mention are not applicable. Every article that gets reported is viewed by our team and if we deem it to not align with our values we will take it off our platform and decide if we want to keep receiving articles from that specific publication.
How can I suggest a feature or give feedback?
